What Can God’s Power Do For You?

Not a day goes by that I don’t need God’s power in some area of my life.
If you find yourself in need of power, remember God can do anything.  All you have to do is trust Him.  He promises to always be with you to overcome every obstacle.

And they shall fight against thee;
but they shall not prevail against thee;
for I am with thee, saith the Lord,
to deliver thee. – Jeremiah 1:19

Sometimes, in the midst of life trials, you and I can forget our “all-access” status with God.   It is during these times that He wants all our cares, battles and frustrations to be given to Him.  He wants us to ask for His help.  God’s power is magnificent, intense and boundless!  He can do all things!

Allow me to share what God’s power can do

strengthen you in times of weakness, anxiety and fear

shield and vindicate you against wickedness, slander, deception and corruption

infuse joy, love, peace and purpose into your life

heal you from sickness, addictions, abuse, molestation and a broken heart

restore and renew you from divorce, betrayal, loss, rejection and financial hardship

deliver you from feelings of inadequacy, depression, low self- esteem and rejection

bless and make you fruitful in every endeavor

transform your life out of darkness, condemnation and despair

generously provide grace and mercy

open doors, promote you and give you favor to live successfully

anoint you to love others even in the most difficult situations

…and the list is endless.

You are His beloved!  Whatever you need, seek Him and He will show you His power.  God can.  He is ready to do for you!

Power to Finish Strong and Keep Going

Finish Strong

Regardless of how your 2013 has been, you can always finish the year strong!  I understand that this is the time of year for reflections and resolutions, but join me in following a new approach encouraged by Apostle Paul…

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:
but this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark
for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
–Philippians 3:13-14

…forgetting those things which are behind

The “Paul” approach requires you to forget all the mistakes and disappointments of your past. Purge everything that is behind, even memories of the “good ol’ days.” They are no longer needed.  Forgetting is much easier when you replace the past with thoughts of hope and joyful expectations of the future.  You will discover many amazing promises when looking forward in the Word of God!

Here is one of my favorites…

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them,
With men this is impossible;
but with God all things are possible.
– Matthew 19:26

You must also remove the load of shame, condemnation, bitterness, selfishness, lack, regret and anything else that you’ve been carrying.  Dismiss old philosophies, traditions and mindsets contrary to God and His word.   Stop engaging in activities that may harm you.  Envision yourself brand new, healthy and beloved each day.  This is how God sees you when you receive the free gift of salvation.

No more dwelling on the hurt and pain others may have caused.  No more speaking words of anger or despair.  Dark sorrow has no room in the bright days of your future.  Your past is not allowed to carry over into your new future.  It is time to remember no more.  Forgive everyone, including yourself, and prepare for a fresh anointing!

The past is over and nothing…
absolutely nothing from the past
is necessary for your new life ahead

…reaching forth unto the things which are before

Believe that the best is yet to come!  Your true purpose, joy, power and good success is before you!  God’s promises, found in His Word, will comfort and strengthen you as you end this year.  It will also encourage you to press towards the prize of God’s love, truth and blessings through Christ Jesus.  If you are interested in reading more on this subject, I would like to share some of the writings that have transformed my way of thinking this year and encouraged me to finish strong:

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Stay Calm and Flow with Power

Stay Calm and Flow with Power

You and I are designed to be the conduit in which God’s power and His anointing flow through.  This amazing power flows freely when we stay  calm, cool and collected during any life situation.  Calm during a personal storm, cool under fire, and collected despite betrayal.  Make no mistake…this is much easier said than done.

Scripture gives us a description of calm like this…

And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God,
whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Let all bitterness, and wrath,
and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking,
be put away from you, with all malice:
And be ye kind one to another,
tenderhearted,
forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
– Ephesians 4:30-32

“Be kind to one another.”

A good friend helped me to put this verse into perspective by instructing me to replace “one another” with my husband’s name.  Try it with someone close to you.  Then replace it with the name of a relative, your children, a neighbor, your boss, a co-worker, or your ex – any person that may disturb your flow.

Be kind to ______________________ (fill in the blank).

The anointing flows without interruption when we walk in love.  No strife.  No fear.  No selfishness.  The anointing has room to flow and bless others through our lives when we relinquish our personal agendas and carnal emotions.  The anointing is sacred.  It requires our focus to remain on God.  Once activated, He shows us what to do with it.  Thankfully, you and I do not have to be perfect to transmit such a powerful gift!  But there is something we must do…

Stay Calm.     Be Kind.      Flow.

How Do You Define POWER?

Power (noun): force, energy; ability or strength; the faculty of doing or moving; that quality in any natural body which produces a change or makes an impression on another body

I have always been fascinated with power.  Something about its presence commands respect whether its among humans, nature or animals.  I like when power is shown to unite people, build up communities, liberate nations, perform miracles – you know, all the good stuff power can do.  Before looking in the Word of God, power meant control over my life and circumstances.  Now, it has expanded to mean that nothing in life is impossible.  Absolutely nothing!

What does POWER mean to you?
